2. If you have a Glojour account

  1. Sign in at glojour.com.
  2. Open your settings: patient settings or doctor settings.
  3. Choose Delete account. You can tell us why, but you do not have to.
  4. Confirm with Yes, delete my account.

What happens next

  • At once: you are signed out and can no longer sign in. Your request reaches our deletion queue.
  • Within 30 days: our team erases your account and the data listed under What we delete, and closes your request.
  • Until then: content you published may still be visible. If you want a post or photo to disappear immediately, delete it yourself before you delete your account.
  • If you change your mind: write to us before the erasure is done and we can restore your account. Once the erasure is done, nothing can be restored.
  • Confirmation: we do not send an automatic email when the erasure is complete. If you want written confirmation, write to info@glojour.com from your account's email address and we will reply when it is done.

If you cannot sign in, write to info@glojour.com from the email address registered on your account and we will carry out the deletion for you.

3. If you wrote to a clinic on WhatsApp

If you wrote to a clinic's WhatsApp number and that clinic uses Glojour, your conversation is stored in Glojour for that clinic. You do not need a Glojour account to have it deleted.

  1. Email us at info@glojour.com with the subject "Data deletion request (WhatsApp)". Tell us the phone number you wrote from, with its country code; the name of the clinic or clinics you wrote to; whether you want all your conversations deleted or only some; and your name.
  2. Confirm the number is yours. We reply with a short code and ask you to send it from that WhatsApp number to the clinic's number. That message reaches Glojour, which shows us the number belongs to you. We do not ask for an identity document for this.
  3. We delete the conversation within 30 days of your email: your phone number, every message in both directions, the notes and labels the clinic's team added, and the delivery records. We tell the clinic that the conversation was deleted at your request, and we confirm to you by email.

You can also ask the clinic directly. The clinic is responsible for the conversation and can pass your request to us.

What we cannot delete

  • Messages on your own phone, or on the devices of anyone you forwarded them to.
  • The copies Meta keeps to deliver messages, for up to 30 days, under Meta's own terms.
  • Records the clinic made outside Glojour. Ask the clinic about those.

Your WhatsApp conversations are not linked to a Glojour account, so deleting your account does not delete them. If you have both, ask for both.

4. If a clinic recorded your details

A clinic can add a person to its records in Glojour, for example after a phone call or a visit, with a name, phone number, email address and notes. To have those records deleted, write to info@glojour.com with your name, the phone number or email address the clinic would have recorded, and the clinic's name. We may contact you on that phone number or email address to confirm that the request comes from you. Within 30 days we delete the records about you and tell the clinic.

5. If you connected Instagram

Doctors who connected their Instagram account to import posts can end the connection and remove the imported data:

  1. Remove Glojour from the apps connected to your Instagram account, in Instagram's settings.
  2. The access token is held only in a cookie on your own device and expires within seven days. Clearing your browser's cookies for glojour.com removes it at once. It is not stored in our database.
  3. Imported posts are in your media library in Glojour. Delete them there, or delete your account to delete them all.

6. What we delete

When an account is erased, we delete:

  • the account and its sign-in details;
  • the profile, including the name, display name, photo and date of birth;
  • posts, journeys, comments, questions, reactions, saves and follows, and the photos in them;
  • consultation requests and chats with doctors, with their attachments; these are also removed from the doctor's desk;
  • pre-consultation answers and AI previews;
  • consent records, notifications and support messages, and the emails you sent us, from our mailbox;
  • for doctors: the doctor page and clinic site, the clinic and its records in Glojour (including its patients' requests, chats and WhatsApp conversations), verification documents and the private phone number.

7. What remains, and why

  • A record of the deletion request and of what was done, without any reason you wrote, for three years after the request is closed, as the Regulation on the Deletion, Destruction or Anonymisation of Personal Data requires. It shows that the request was carried out.
  • Safety records with every link to you removed, which show only that an action of a certain type happened at a certain time. They stop someone from wiping a safety record by deleting their account.
  • Statistics that cannot be linked to anyone, such as daily view totals.
  • For doctors: the articles you published on the Glojour blog are taken offline, and the texts you wrote about treatments are no longer used. Both are no longer linked to your account; their unpublished text stays in our database.
  • Records belonging to other people in which you appear only as the person who did something, for example as the team member assigned to a task; your link to them is removed.
  • Information that is the subject of an active legal dispute or of a request from a competent authority, until the dispute or request is resolved.
  • If your account was suspended for abuse: an irreversible digest of your email address and phone numbers, never the address or number itself, for two years, so that the same person cannot sign up again. It cannot be turned back into your email or number.
  • Traffic records that Law No. 5651 requires a hosting provider to keep (the IP address, time, page, method and result of each request, and for an upload the account), for one year.
  • Database backups, which are overwritten on a rolling basis within seven days.

Doctors and clinics are responsible for any copies they made in their own systems, such as their patient records. Glojour is not a medical records system: if you are a doctor, keep the records the law requires you to keep in your own system before you delete your account, because deleting it also deletes your clinic's records in Glojour.

8. How long it takes, and if you are not satisfied

We complete every deletion request within 30 days, free of charge, and give you our answer in writing or electronically. If we cannot delete something because the law requires us to keep it, we tell you what and why.

If we refuse your request, if you find our answer insufficient, or if we do not answer within 30 days, you can complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu) within 30 days of learning our answer, and in any case within 60 days of your request. Our Privacy Policy lists all your rights.
