1. What you consent to
By ticking the box, you consent to your health information being sent to the doctor or clinic you have chosen, so that they can evaluate your request, and to its being stored on Glojour for that purpose. The box reads:
The consent is given for one doctor at a time. Writing to another doctor asks for it again.
2. The information concerned
- the treatment you ask about and what you write in your consultation request;
- the messages, photos and files you send that doctor or clinic in your chat;
- the pre-consultation form answers you choose to share with that doctor, such as pregnancy or breastfeeding, blood thinners, chronic conditions and previous procedures.
3. Who receives it
The doctor you chose, and the members of that doctor's clinic team who have permission to see requests and chats. Once the clinic has received your information, the clinic is the data controller for its own use of it and relies on its own legal basis as a health professional; Glojour keeps the clinic's records only on the clinic's behalf, as described in our Data Processing Terms.
4. The legal basis
Health information is a special category of personal data. Sending it to the doctor you choose, and keeping it on Glojour for that purpose, rests on your explicit consent under Article 6(3)(a) of Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK).
5. What this consent does not cover
- publishing anything: a post or journey is published only when you choose to publish it;
- advertising, analytics profiles of you, or training AI models: Glojour never uses health information for any of these;
- sending your information to any doctor other than the one you chose;
- transfers of data abroad by our service providers, which are explained in the Privacy Policy.
6. Giving consent is your choice
You do not have to give this consent. Without it, your request or message cannot be sent to that doctor, and you can still use the rest of Glojour, including the community.
7. Withdrawing your consent
You can withdraw your consent for a doctor at any time in Settings › My consents, or by writing to info@glojour.com. When you withdraw it:
- nothing more from you is sent to that doctor until you give consent again;
- any sharing of your pre-consultation form answers with that doctor ends;
- the clinic is told that you withdrew your consent;
- the information the clinic has already received stays in the clinic's own records, under the clinic's responsibility as a health professional; you can ask the clinic, or us, to have it deleted, and Data Deletion explains how.
Withdrawing your consent does not make the processing that took place before it unlawful.
8. The record we keep
We keep a record of each consent: the doctor it names, when and where you gave it, and the version of this text; if you withdraw it, the record keeps the date of the withdrawal. The record is deleted with your account.
